1) "Dodo - Living Nature of the Future" &Mac173;group is looking for:
Groups of activists and/or individual experts and artists working with themes of: - Energy and climate politics - Forestry and energy issues in third world countries - Environmental issues in Eastern Europe (especially Russia) - Broader economic and social issues concerned with environment - The disappearance of global biodiversity - Environmental philosophy
We are also intereted in connecting with groups or individuals with know-how of web-desing, who would be interested in working with civil groups in creating a developed and versatile international web-forum with interesting content on these and other environmental issues. The
idea is to join the reputation and content-generation skills of environmental groups around Europe with a group or individuals who have vision about how to create the technical framework for this. The aim is to create web pages, whic h would be both technically functioning and interesting and include environmental content interesting to both first-timers and professionals individuals with a long history of studying and working with environmental issues. Previously Dodo has worked with the content of the climate-pages www.ilmasto.org (Finnish only unfortunately) and next week we will launch our "tropical" environmental pages (URL to be launched later).
2) Urban Utopias is looking for Groups of activists and/or individual experts interested in
- Utopias in general
- Future of cities
- Citizenship &Mac173; living in cities
- European City-politics
- The relationships to and possibilities for decision making of people living in cities to their environment - city-identities
We would be especially happy if we can make contact with long-term/permanent groups, which could be interested in cooperation in the future also. On the other hand we are very interested in working also with individual researchers, activists and thinkers, who would be interested in communicating with a group of young intellectuals working actively on these issues. At the moment we have some contacts like this, mostly from the Baltic meetings of the Rome Club.
