Defining the Next Step Concerning Development of Organizational Aspects and Working Methods of EuroVision2000
A. Local Discussion and Production Groups
How to begin organizing these discussion groups?
1. Prelimenary Work
pinpoint and research partner individuals and institutions
network with these individuals in preparation for a public meeting
2. Public Meeting
project discription and announcement of meeting, generated by the project and tailored to suit local needs.
local content coordinator or responsible individual distributes information to the wider public but researches targeted public for participation in the meeting.
workshop type meeting with a prepared presentation about the project with specific examples i,e, video presentation, afterwards brainstorming session which should result in specific proposals or ideas for the showa or productions
a EuroVision list_serv is created with the interested individuals to collect statements and ideas, perhaps one content list and organizational lists in the local languages, having individuals post ideas in local languages to one list is also an option.
based on the outcome of this meeting a local production budget is drafted and submitted to the project to aid in resourcing and distributing funding.

How much of it involves using the live video conferencing equipment and how much of it is local production?
Depending on how the groups develop areas of interest are defined and possible means of doing live events involving more than one partner city are proposed
Summaries of the event and documentation are made available to the network at large, i.e. web based archive
B. Video Coordination / Production and Screening
How will the work that is to be presented be aquired or comlpiled?
culling existing material to create a program of screenings for the greater network which could consist of locally compiled programs with thematical focuses
a call for contributions goes out to scout local content for participaiton
involving specific indivudals and commissioning works
create an open screening night where indivuduals show up with specific work to screen

Who comprises the local production crew?
The local production team is part of the framework of the EuroVision2000 project which autonomous groups can take advantage of when proposing shows to be produced within the context of the project.

What kind of digital technical infrastructure needs to be developed for the EuroVision2000 project ?

E. Detailed Budget Information and Funding Possibilities
How is the cafe9.net funding distributed in the project?
for arranging local discussion and production groups (section A of this document)

to administratively resource and apply for additional funding for the overall project (to be distributed to the local groups and initiatives for production)
What other funding sources are being researched?
Net Days, (Should an application be prepared as EuroVision2000 or apply as Cafe9?) Documents will be prepared to use as either a colllective application to NetDays or as an independant project.
